St Paul Methodist Centre

Welcome to St Paul's Methodist Centre in Aberystwyth. The Centre is home to both the English and Welsh speaking Methodist churches in Aberystwyth. St Paul's is close to the town centre. It was opened in 1992 and it is the newest church building in town.

We are a lively, warm and diverse group of people who come together to learn and grow as Christians. We have many activities including House Groups, Bible Studies, Prayer and Singing groups, Listening Ear (counselling), weekends away, retreats and courses.

Each Sunday we are proud to offer both English and Welsh language services and traditional and modern styles of worship.

St Paul's is a community church "on the street" with a coffee bar open on weekdays and many regular users of the convenient and comfortable premises.

We work with other churches on joint services and other initiatives and welcome all. University students and holiday visitors find a home from home here, however long or short their stay. You are welcome too!

You can find out more about us and our history.

Fellowship & Faith

There are a number of fellowship and study groups that meet in the church. Find out more about the groups.

Students & Youth

St Paul's is within walking distance of Aberystwyth University, and we are delighted to share our worship and Christian discipleship with the University students. Methsoc, the student Methodist Society, has a longstanding relationship with the Methodist church in Aberystwyth. You can find out more about Methsoc, visit their website and also view details of old members on the Facebook group.

We have a crèche and Sunday School that runs during most morning services from ages 0 to 16. Vistors are welcome to join in the events on any Sunday.

We have worked across the circuit in recent years to take our young children on an outward bound weekend near to Barmouth. This has been enjoyed by all involved and will be repeated in 2009, with the generous support of Synod Cymru.

Service Times

We have regular services on each Sunday, and also have a monthly mid-week Communion service. Our Sunday services are at 10:30am, in English and Welsh, and there are two types of services in the evening, in English. See the worship page for details of the service types.
